Voter Victory

The firm was a vital part of renewing the Municipal Option Sales Tax in the City of Atlanta during the 2024 cycle. Firehouse developed messaging for the initiative and sent more than 400,000 texts and calls to voters, in conjunction with several rounds of direct mail. The referendum passed with 75% of the vote.

Voter Turnout

A Win and an Award

Firehouse activated thousands of African American women voters in Maryland, Virginia, Texas, Michigan and Wisconsin ahead of the 2022 election. We created a character called “Ava” to share a compelling narrative throughout the program. Ava reached voters via automated call and SMS, driving them to the client’s website for more information and voting resources. The program earned a Reed Award at the 2023 ceremony in Las Vegas.

Firehouse Phones | Multi-State Messaging

Minimizing Misinformation

Our client needed to connect with thousands of low-income families in Maine and Mississippi to cut through a fog of misinformation about the Child Tax Credit in 2021, so that they could take advantage before the program expired. We worked to craft scripts that provided clear, useful information. The program delivered 54,000 texts and phone calls by the deadline, helping thousands of families utilize this vital tax credit.

Firehouse Phones | Phone Surveys

Polling the Public

Firehouse was contracted by a polling firm to conduct survey outreach among various groups of constituents. Throughout 2024 Firehouse Phones sent over half a million text messages to California residents, surveying them on community issues such as K-12 public education.
